What We Do and What We Do Best
Sometimes you go into a business, sometimes you back into it. Southern Stretch Forming became a curved metal provider by starting out as a curved metal consumer. Dependent for our supply of curved metal from West Coast companies that mainly served the aerospace industry, we grew increasingly frustrated with frequent delivery delays and high freight costs. When we discovered that other companies in Texas and elsewhere were in similar need of a reliable stretched metal provider, we realized that an obstacle had created an opportunity. That was in 1991, and now stretch forming is our only business. We’ve grown to FIVE locations in order to better serve your curved metal needs and to reduce higher freight costs. In addition to our main office in Denton, Texas, we have divisions in Northern California, Southern California, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Process Capabilities
Stretch Forming
Stretch forming machines are designed to provide close-tolerance stretch forming of lineal materials. Our experienced machine operators are trained to maintain tolerances and repeatability.
Our first year: In 1991, Southern Stretch Forming became the first curved metal provider in Texas. As with any new business, we experienced challenges and “learning opportunities,” but each year since our first has brought growth, sometimes phenomenal growth.
Service comes first: We believe that one reason for our loyal and expanding customer base is that we understand our customers’ requirements and problems with an insight that only comes from having been customers ourselves. From the beginning, we have been determined to serve our customers the way we would want to be served.
The Focus is on Service
Why we specialize: Since our original customers were in the architectural and construction fields, Southern Stretch Forming has continued to focus on these industries. Unlike some firms, we do not favor aerospace clients. Whether you need our products for windows, walls, doors, arches, signs, skylights or anything else, Southern Stretch will give you the same attention, the same service and the same quality guarantee that we give everyone. At Southern Stretch Forming, our “best customer” is the one we’re serving right now.
Integrity: We believe that customer service includes candor and openness. As with any process, stretch forming has its limitations. For instance, stretching a metal that has already been painted or anodized may compromise the finish. Fortunately, most such problems can be anticipated, which is why it’s always been our policy to inform customers of any foreseeable problem.
A collaborative process: At Southern Stretch Forming, we believe communication is essential to success. Every project is a collaboration between our customer and us. We take pains to understand your needs and expectations so we can deliver the right product at the right price.
